Dearest aunt, we have received 11,000,000 VND from the Eyes of Compassion Relief Organization Canada, for the project initiated by uncle MAI VIET THU to be given to all of the orphans who have lost their parents to the COVID-19 virus.
We have selected those areas from the master list where children have been isolated due to COVID-19, and who need our help to receive food.
Our group went directly to the children’s homes as recommended by neighboring families in order to better understand each child’s situation. This is the information we got. A number of families within the area told us that these children who were being isolated did not know that their parents have passed, and were told that their parents are still currently undergoing COVID-19 treatment. These families told us not to ask or say much, afraid that these children will suspect something is not normal. All we did was hand the monetary donations, and left.
When we decided to give the money, we gathered all the children in one place and had 8 of us from 21 Days of Love present– because the donations were in cash; we had to be careful so as to not be impacted by surrounding public opinions. When we gave the money, the villagers were all standing nearby, many of them crying, not able to contain their emotions.
Each child has a different story; I would like to share a few cases for you below:
•One child’s mother passed due to COVID-19 while pregnant; both mother and baby died
•One father passed away leaving behind 3 children and their mother. The mother does not have a stable job. Their house is about 9m, and includes the grandparents, mother and 3 children living together.
•One child lost their mother to COVID-19, their father has a fatal illness, and there is currently no one to take care of the child.
•One father died, leaving the mother to care for 2 children; one child has kidney problems and brain tumor and has to be hospitalized for treatment everyday (grandchild of Trần Nhật Huy)
Each child has a very difficult situation. When we arrived and witnessed their situation in-person, we were very emotional; we did not know what to do or how to share the great loss for such young children. Up until this point, some children still do not know that their parents have passed away; they are all very carefree and innocent, which makes us feel even more heartbroken.
Dear aunt, we would like to express our deep gratitude to Eyes of Compassion Relief Organization Canada, specifically Mai Viet Thu who always loves, cares for and supports the people of Vietnam.
We thank you to all of the aunts and uncles for continuously working together with us in our projects.

Cháu không có anh chị em, hiện đang sống với bà Ngoại. Bà ngoại không có việc làm và hai bà cháu đang ở thuê phòng.
Em Võ Văn Toàn, sinh năm 2016 và em Võ Văn Nam, sinh năm 2018. Hai em này là anh em ruột, cư ngụ tại 556/9 Hoà Hảo, Phường 7. Em mồ côi cả cha lẫn mẹ. Hiện tại em sống với ông bà. Ông bà em làm nghề buôn bán lạc xoong. Người trong hình là ông bà của em. Nhóm 21NYT chúng con xin được đại diện Tổ chức MTNCĐ Canada đến thăm và trao cho em 2.000.000 VNĐ.
