Thank you letter to the donor

Dear donor Behnaz McCallum,

My name is Uyen Phuong Thi Ngo. I am twelve years old in grade 6 at Phu Tho school.
My family currently resides in Tay Nam countryside, Phu Tho village, Que Son district, Quang Nam province.
There are four people in my family:  my mother, paternal grandpa, my younger sister and myself.
My father left us soon after we were born, he has another mistress. My lone mother takes care all of us.  She works very hard to provide us with food and clothing. She is getting old and doesn’t have a stable job. She makes very little money for each work day.  Often, I feel a great love for my mom when I see her working so hard but I feel helpless.  Every time my dad comes back, my mom hides in the bushes alongside the road.  When she does this, she looks to be suffering greatly and her spirit is completely diminished.  In addition to this, she has to take care of my grandpa who is bedridden. Our current living situation is very tough so I don’t know if my sister and I can continue going to school.  We have a neighbor next door, who loves our family but is unable to help us financially.  However, she lent us an old bike so that my sister and I don’t have to walk to school.  Often that bike breaks down and since we couldn’t afford to get it fixed, we had to get rides from our friends.
Recently, I received a beautiful bicycle from you. It has been my wish for a long time when I saw my friends ride their bikes, and now I can ride my new bike to school.  I thank you for your kindness and support.
I wish to continue going to school so that I can contribute to society later on, and help mom support my younger sister’s schooling so we all can have a better life.  Once again, thank you so much for your help so that I can continue going to school with my friends and have a nice childhood.  I wish you, my donor, always have good health, happiness and success in life.  I promise I will study very hard to be deserving of this gift.

Thank you letter to the donor

Dear donor Behnaz McCallum,

My name is Uyen Thanh Thi Tran.
I am twelve years old, in grade 6 at Phu Tho school.
My family currently resides in Dong Nam countryside, Phu Tho village, Que Son district, Quang Nam province.
I grew up without my father as he passed away after a terrible illness when I was little.  When my father died, my little siblings were too young to remember how his face looked like. After his passing, the lives of my mom and her three children became so difficult. Now, there is nothing left in our house that is valuable because my mom had to sell all the furniture to pay for my dad’s medical bills.  My two younger siblings and I still go to school. We are classified as the poor family and my mom has arthritis which causes her health to deteriorate.  My mom works in the beer huts in Ha Lam. She works from 10 am to 9 pm. She is the sole caregiver for our family.  Often I see her in pain due to arthritis, I feel very sad and don’t know what to do except trying to study very hard to make mom happy.  Every day, I chaperone my younger siblings to school and back, then cook and take care of them because my mom gets back from work very late at night.  Day after day, we ask our friends for rides to school because we don’t have a bicycle.  I didn’t know how long we can continue to go to school like this.
Recently, I received a beautiful bicycle from you.  It has been my wish for a long time and now it has become a reality.  I am so happy and from now on we don’t have to ask our friends to ride us to school anymore.  I will ride the bike with my friends to school.  I thank you for your kindness and support.
I wish to continue going to school so that I can contribute to the society later on, and help mom support my younger siblings’ schooling so we all can have a better life.  Once again, I sincerely thank you for your help.  I wish you and your family always have good health, happiness and success in life so that you can continue to donate to the poor children so they can go to school just like their friends.  I promise I will study my best to be deserving of this gift.

Dear donor Mr. Laurie Arron,

My name is Quyen Ha Nguyen Huynh. I am a grade 8 student of Dong Phu High School. I was very happy when I received a bicycle from you as a gift. It helps me tremendously in my daily life.
My family faced lots of difficulty.   My parent divorced.  Only my mom works very hard to support us, my 2 sisters and me.  Her health is not very good, she has suffered and survived from a stroke, so she always needs to take medication.  We don’t have our own home, we stay with my grandparents who are 80 years old.   Our family main income is what we could earn by working at the farms and rice fields.   Some years, we did not have a good harvest, therefore, could not earn enough money to survive for a whole year.  Since my mom go out to work every day and my grandparents are old, my sisters and I try to take care all other work around the house.   I, myself, does not have a good health; I have a heart disease and had one operation.  To go to school, we must walk a long distance about 4 km.  The bicycle, your gift, is now our means of transportation for a whole family, it helps us in many ways.  Since I have this bicycle, I was no longer afraid to be late to school. In the past, sometimes I had to walk quickly, almost run to the school to be on time, and that was not good for my heart.
I could not say enough to show my appreciation to you, Mr. Arron.  I promise that I will put this bicycle to good use.  It is like a good friend, who will go with me on my journey to reach my dream.
Thank you so much for your generosity.  I wish you good health, happiness and success.

Regards,
Quyen Ha Nguyen Huynh
